What else does Full Spectrum CBD oil contain?

Cannabinoids

Because Full Spectrum CBD Oil is not as processed as other cannabis oils, more of the natural compounds of the hemp plant are retained in the resulting CBD oil. Over 100 cannabinoids are contained in the cannabis plant, and many of these will be found in Full Spectrum oil. Compounds such as CBD, CBDa, and CBG are what are believed to give CBD oil its therapeutic effects.

Terpenes

There are over 150 terpenes contained in the flowers and buds of the cannabis plant. These natural compounds generally affect the plant’s fragrance. Limonene, for example, gives citrus plants their fresh fragrance, whilst Linalool is responsible for lavender’s relaxing scent.

Flavonoids

These are present in all kinds of fruits and vegetables, where they are believed protect against inflammation and to be great antioxidants. The cannabis plant has around 20 different flavonoids.

Where does CBD come from?

Although it’s easy for people to believe that CBD and marijuana are the same thing, they are actually very different products.

Unlike marijuana, CBD is made from hemp and has no psychoactive properties.

There are two main species of Cannabis; Cannabis Indica and Cannabis Sativa. Whilst marijuana can be extracted from both of these species, hemp can only be extracted from Cannabis Sativa.

This means that there are some notable differences between hemp and marijuana. The most important of these is that hemp contains almost no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This is the chemical found in marijuana which makes you feel high.

To be legally considered hemp, it must contain no more than 0.3% THC. If you are taking Full or Broad Spectrum CBD products it’s normal for it to contain trace amounts of THC, but nowhere near the levels which will become psychoactive. If you are taking CBD Isolate, it will contain no THC at all.

How to Use

"Start low and slowly grow" is the key to starting your CBD journey. This will allow you to slowly build up your endocannabinoid system and fully realise your sweet spot. Your endocannabinoid system works on a bell curve and if you take too much at once then you can go over the curve and overload which could result in having the opposite effect of what you're hoping to achieve.

This is a rough guide only as each of us is different and unique. A slow approach may be more beneficial to you and increase fortnightly instead. The time frames below are examples, but a good guide to how dosing is recommended.

Frequently asked questions

How long will the bottles 10ml and 30ml last?

The duration of the bottles will vary depending on individual usage and frequency. The bottle volume would be affected for example by how many drops you take within your daily dosage. On average a 10ml bottle has approximately 200 drops, in comparison to the 30ml bottle which has approximately 600 drops.

Can the oils be used directly on the skin and not orally?

Our CBD oils are generally designed to be taken orally following the guidance available on our website. However, there are many individuals who use alternative methods of application for their individual needs and report the benefits of their chosen methods. CBD may support the cannabinoid receptors which are found underneath the pores of the skin. Why should I place the drops of oil under my tongue if taken orally?
