What’s the difference between CBD and marijuana?


It’s a common assumption that CBD and marijuana are the same, but this is not true.

CBD is made from hemp and does not have any psychoactive properties, unlike marijuana.

There are two main species of plant within the family; Indica and Sativa. Whilst marijuana can be extracted from both species, and hemp can only be extracted from Sativa.

This means that there are some notable differences between hemp and marijuana. The most important of these is that hemp contains almost no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This is the chemical found in marijuana that makes you feel high.

For hemp to be legally considered hemp, it must contain no more than 0.2% THC. If you are taking Full Spectrum CBD products, it’s normal to have trace amounts of THC, but nowhere near the levels that will become psychoactive. If you are taking CBD Isolate, it will contain no THC at all.

Please ensure to leave a 2 hour gap between any medications and supplements, and a 4 hour gap for anything that is contra-indicated with grapefruit.

We would suggest starting by taking just 1 per day in your daily routine. If required you can increase however you must not exceed anymore than 70mg of CBD per day.
